What Candy Can Kids With Allergies Eat?
*Please note that people can have allergies to ANY food. This means that no food is ever completely allergy-free. In this blog, you’ll find the best Christmas candy companies that offer some combination of the top 9 allergy-free goodies.
First of all, with food allergies, there are always precautions you need to take. Here are 3 simple ways to be extra safe with any allergy-free Christmas candy.
Be sure to read EVERY SINGLE LABEL, EVERY SINGLE TIME. Labels can change anytime and it’s always important to read the label before gifting any candy, whether it says allergy-free or not.
2. If you are buying for a food allergy child that isn’t your own, PLEASE double-check with their parents before gifting any allergy-free Christmas candy. This is so important because ingredient labels can be difficult to read and if you’re not used to reading labels it’s very easy to make a mistake. So always ask a parent first.
3. If your child or the child you’re buying for cannot eat foods made on shared lines with their allergens, it’s very important to call the companies & research to ensure their candy will be safe for your child. Although these are the most allergy-friendly Christmas candy companies I know, I have not verified them by phone or asked about shared lines. Please be sure to do this if required for your family.

Yum Earth. Not only does Yum Earth make a variety of allergy-free goodies, like an allergy-free gingerbread house, holiday organic giggles and gummi treats; but they also make candy canes that are free from peanuts, gluten, tree nuts, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, and soy.
Smart Sweets. These gummy candies are a hit with our family. Smart Sweets states that “Some candy flavors are made in facilities that manufacture common allergens; however, all our innovations are free from gluten, dairy, tree nuts, and peanut ingredients”.
Better Bites. So these may technically be considered a “baked good”, but because of their “Do Bites” and “Cake Bites”, I couldn’t resist including them. Better Bites are Top 8 allergen-free goodies.
Dumdums Lollipops. So these are not specifically Christmas-themed, but they are still delicious! Kids love lollipops and Dum Dums do not contain peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat or gluten. They do have a special allergen statement to read on their website.
Allergy-Free & Peanut-Free Chocolate Bars
Let’s get to the chocolate, shall we? Here are some great allergy-free & peanut-free chocolate bar ideas for Christmas.
No Whey Foods. On this website, you’ll find Christmas chocolate lollipops, peppermint bark, chocolate truffles, and MORE. This fantastic company makes goodies that are 100% Milk Free, Peanut Free, Tree Nut Free, Gluten Free, Egg Free, Soy Free, Sesame Free.
Enjoy Life Foods. Enjoy Life makes so many delicious goodies that are free from wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, casein, soy, egg, sesame, sulfites, lupin, mustard, fish, shellfish, and crustaceans, and their chocolate Christmas candies are no exception!
Free2b. These sweet treats are like peanut butter cups but without peanut butter! Choose between sunflower butter and mint cups for drool-worthy treats your family will love. Free from peanut, dairy, tree nuts, gluten, coconut, egg, sesame, soy, mustard, corn, fish, and shellfish.
Amanda’s Own. There’s chocolate here, but there’s also cookie dough and advent calendars! Amanda’s Own has allergy-free Christmas candy that’s free from gluten, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, dairy/casein, soy, egg, sesame, fish, mustard, shellfish, & crustaceans.
Vermont Nut Free. This company is nut-free but also covers other top allergens as well. Each product has a detailed list of ingredients, including shared equipment information. Check out their advent calendars too.
Allergy-Free Gingerbread Houses
Little GF Chefs. I know good allergy-free gingerbread houses are NOT easy to find. The Gingerbread houses from Little GF Chefs are free from gluten and the top 8 most common allergens including dairy, nuts, and eggs. Not only that, but they empower your child to learn about baking and cooking without their allergens. That is priceless.
Yum Earth. This is the second time on the list for this company because they make an allergy-friendly gingerbread house, and I didn’t want you to miss it because I know they can be hard to find.
For Canadians Looking For Allergy-Free Christmas Candy
