Creating Memories With Family When You Manage Food Allergies
With the holidays coming, I want to give you some encouragement from one food allergy mom to another food allergy mom. Honestly, you need to know this, so here it is:
Yes, your memories from childhood gave you the BEST childhood ever, but your food allergy child doesn’t need to experience the same things to give THEM the best childhood.
Of course, you want to share special moments with your kids based on what you did as a kid, BUT if food allergies change the way that looks, don’t be discouraged.
Your food allergy child will remember things that you don’t even realize, like:
The way you take care of them.
How you made sure they’re never left out.
That belly-laugh moment you had together.
Don’t be forced into a box thinking that your child needs to have similar experiences that you had as a child.
Instead, focus on creating new memories that allow you to spend time and have fun with your food allergy child (and the whole family) and you can’t go wrong! In the end, you’ll be surprised at what they remember, because it was love that created THEIR best childhood. And that beats it all.
With that in mind, what allergy-friendly activity will you try with your family? Comment below with a NEW allergy-friendly holiday activity you want to try this year.

Conclusion
Food allergies don’t have to stop your child from living their BEST childhood, even if it means they can’t do everything you did in your childhood! This is a reminder that your love creates your food allergy kid’s best childhood, and nothing else!
